Join us for a week or two of swimming in the next school holidays!
Swimming throughout winter is not only good for a child’s fitness, it also helps maintain and develop their skills so that they are ready for summer. It might be cold outside but our pool is indoors and the water is a lovely 32 degrees.
Children that stop swimming in winter often lose confidence and ability after having a break. This is especially common with younger children where they are just beginning to form their long-term muscle memory.
What does it involve?
The program involves one 30min swim class a day for 5 consecutive days. Over the course of the week we practice and repeat skills that are appropriate to the child’s level. This consistency over such a short time helps a child form long lasting movement patterns that will contribute to stronger swimming and confidence in the long term.
