STEP 2: Determine the Correct Level
Baby and Toddler classes are grouped by age and do not require an assessment. For children aged 3 and over, we may ask you to come in for a short free assessment so we can place your child in the right group. You can also use our quick level finder quiz to get a head start.

What to Bring to Class
Swimwear for your child (and yourself if attending a parent-accompanied session), a towel and swim nappy for children not yet toilet trained, a swim cap (compulsory for all children aged 3 and over), warm dry clothes for after the lesson, and a small snack or drink bottle for after swimming.

Enrolment FAQs

Can my child join mid-term?
Yes. AquaBuddies runs on rolling monthly enrolment so your child can start at any time, not just at the beginning of a school term.

How do I know which level is right for my child?
Baby and toddler levels are grouped by age. For children aged 3 and over, we base placement on ability. Use the level finder quiz or contact us and we will help you work it out.

My child has had lessons before at another school, how do I know which level to start at?
We place children based on ability, not just age or their previous school's level names. If you're unsure, use our level finder as a starting point and we can confirm the right group when you get in touch.

What if there are no spots available?
We will add your child to the waitlist and contact you as soon as a place becomes available. Popular time slots fill quickly so we recommend getting in touch early.
Is there a lock-in contract?
No. AquaBuddies does not require term commitments. Fees are charged on the 15th of each month and paid by direct debit on the 20th. You can cancel at any time with written notice by the 20th of the month.

Where are lessons held?
AquaBuddies runs swimming lessons at two locations: Coogee and North Bondi. Not all programs are available at both locations. Visit each location page for full program details.
